The true story of my Pokemon adventure since 1997. I will talk about other games too that I play because let's face it, I'm not so hardcore that I play Pokemon EVERY day :D

If this doesn't make you want to play the game, I don't know what will. I recommend making it full screen.

The Ugly Trio
If some of you find these Pokemons specifically attractive, I hope you aren't too hurt of my personal opinion. I just feel like these guys are straight from Dragonball Z or something. I happen to be a girl and I like my Pokemons cute and simple. So the two can be found from the separate games and the last one needs the two together to appear. Of course I only got them to fill my Pokedex so I didn't waste my Masterballs. I really want to get all 5 stars on my Trainer Card which no doubt going to be a pain in the butt. Almost impossible perhaps?

The Pokemons You Can't Have
Just reading the title, doesn't it just make you angry? As a Pokemon trainer and collector our mission is to see and capture all the Pokemon's in the game and other Pokemon game's. Well there's a lot of Pokemon's that can only be obtained through events. Some you need internet for, in some cases you have to travel to a store or other kind of event place and pray you don't live in some hillbilly country that nobody cares about.
So there's a bunch of mouth-watering special Pokemon's out there you will not get our fingers on unless you were lucky enough to be informed, had the game and were available at the times of the events. Not to mention it doesn't hurt to live in Japan or have a friend there who is more than willing to share their luckiness with you to be born in the rising land of the games of tomorrow.
But what if you're like me who lives in a place that most people don't even know about? And because of various reasons get your hands on these games late? In other words you miss out even though you ARE a passionate Pokemon trainer. This is something I am trying to figure out myself too. But then I feel like it's just like some kids are born into a rich family and some are not. So instead of crying about something you can't change, work on the things you can. You don't want to end up being that faggot with the stupidest haircut in the second Pokemon movie who was capturing rare Pokemon's like they were toys. My point is that everyone has to work with what they've got.
So I'm challenging you to pick the most ordinary Pokemon in your collection and study it like it's your life mission. Everyone has the potential. Except for that faggot, he is not going to heaven.

White Version: Pokemon League Update
Now that I got a level 70 Mewtwo, I'm tempted to just beat Pokemon League with it. I've been wanting to get my hands on Zekrom so I don't know how long I can wait. Yeah the gaming experience will weaken a little but... I don't know. What should I do? Go for the kill or wait till I'm ready for real?
White Version: Good Time 2 Receive Mystery Gifts!
So now there's Pokemons you can get with Mystery Gift. First you can get a Mewtwo level 70. Before you start the game you need to choose Mystery Gift. Then choose Receive Gift. Then Get Via Nintendo WFC. This might take a few tries but hopefully a Mewtwo will pop up. To receive him, you have to go now to the actual game, search a Pokemon center, make some room in your party and talk to a mailman in the Pokemon center. This Mewtwo has a special set of attacks: Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere and Electro Ball. He is also carrying a King's Rock.
ATTENTION! Getting Mewtwo will only last till March 6th 2012!!!

Favorite Pokemon
I saw my favorite Pokemon in the beginning of the TV show every time. But it was till later I really got to know it. Well I guess I'd like to refer to it as him, since he is so close to a human in my point of view. I liked the cute Pokemon's but didn't feel like one would stand higher from the rest. Everyone was into Pikachu naturally. I liked a little bit different types of Pokemon.
The first episode from the TV Show that I felt like was close to what I liked was when Ash challenged Sabrina in Saffron City. Since then I have had a great love for Psychic Pokemons. I was fascinated by Psychic powers even before Pokemon so I felt like it was an extend to that. I obviously had to get an Abra in the first Pokemon game that I had.
Without going too much into the first Pokemon movie(I'll leave that to a separate post) I was completely blown away at the time. It was the first time for me to see a Pokemon with personality, acting on its own. I felt what he was feeling. I have been unsatisfied with the direction or purpose of my life from a young age. It has to do with the culture here but anyway not getting into that. So the Pokemon was not only acting on its own but was also more powerful than any Pokemon ever. He was alone in a situation no one had lived before him and he was just there for his creators amusement. Who would not be angry of being born to be someone else's slave?
When I played the actual Blue Version I had further, I decided that I wanted to become a Mewtwo master. Sounds funny, I know but it was something I felt was unique direction in my Pokemon journey. My first Mewtwo in Blue Version was the best I've ever had. I named him Mr.Psychic (I know the least original name that I took from the game) and his HP grew to be more than any other Mewtwo I ever had. I found it fascinating that different Mewtwos in the game grew a little bit differently. Of course this probably goes for every damn Pokemon in the game but since I was only interested in growing powerful Mewtwo's, other Pokemons did not matter.
I had a hard time after Dark Pokemons came since they were so superior to Psychic ones and everyone just fell in love with them. I lost, a lot at the time and felt like my Mewtwo's were not good enough anymore. But I shook that feeling away quickly and decided to follow the path I had chosen for myself. It was not about winning against others anymore.
I spend a couple of summer just being on the computer all day trying to find websites, pictures and information on Mewtwo. I found out that he also was in the short film "The Origin of Mewtwo" and way later "Mewtwo Returns". It really pisses me off that the last movie really makes it seem like there's going to be another movie in the future... I guess we just have to wait and find out. I really felt like his story was not finished even though Giovanni was not after him anymore. Maybe I should write a fan fic or something! Nowadays all the special powerful last Pokemons are ALWAYS dragons. I'm getting tired of that. I want to see more Mewtwo. Anyone with me?

Phantasy Star Online 2
I love free online games. I have been trying to find one all of my husbands friends would play with us. Though there is one online game that goes above all others. And it's not free. But it's FREAKING AWESOME!
I played the first Phantasy Star Online for a few weeks just before it was closed down. I'm a big fan of Star Wars but I feel that the games aren't as fun. Phantasy Star has to be the best scifi game series there is. I have Phantasy Star Portable 2 on my PSP and I have been trying to level up for a long time. I have beat the game but there's still so much to do. Still, the small PSP screen doesn't feel as good as the computer version. Also everyone of our friends would be playing PSO.
PSO 2 is coming out this year and I have got a glimpse of some lucky Japanese person playing the demo. It's going to be amazing, I know it. I still think that the best thing about a lot of games is the possibility to play with your friends. Something that is fun just by itself just comes triple more fun with other people. In PSO you can become anything you want and use any kinds of weapons. And of course for me as a girl, it's a BIG bonus to be able to wear different kinds of clothes.
But we are still waiting. Waiting for PSO 2 to come out and blow our minds.

Pokemon Trading Cards
The Pokemon Card Game came very soon after the TV show and games. I never got into the card game and only owned like 5 cards. I saw my friends friends play with them but I always liked the actual video games more. Besides my parents were suffering enough of my hobby they could not understand. I had a Mewtwo card in very good condition that I was proud of. I have though given it away long ago. Of course it would be nice to have a book with all the cards inside in order. A perfect collection.
I wonder if there's people who are more into the card games than the games themselves?

White Version: How to Get Arceus

Computer 2.1.: Go to Pokemon Global Link (http://en.pokemon-gl.com/) Sign in your game.
Computer 2.2.: Go to Promotions and click Receive The Mythical Pokemon Arceus.
Computer 2.3.: Write in a code ARCEUSVOTE
Computer 2.4.: Go to Pokemon Dream World. Now you will see the Pokemon you tucked in.
Computer 2.5.: Go inside the house by clicking the door. Inside there is a board on the wall. Click it.
Computer 2.6.: You will see Pokemons that have visited you. There should be a picture of Arceus. If not, do this again on the next day.
Computer 2.7.: Leave Pokemon Dream World by click a button on the screen that looks like a off button on the computer. Choose to wake up your Pokemon when you leave.
DS 3.1.: Go to Online - Game Sync to get your tucked in Pokemon back.
DS 3.2.: Go to Wireless - Entralink
DS 3.3.: Now you're in the Entra forest. Walk up to the forest. Do this till you can't go further. In the last forest room Arceus should be waiting for you. If you can't find Arceus, try this again on another day. You don't need to battle Arceus, just throw any pokeball you desire to capture it.
Crappy picture I took of my encounter with Arceus.
White Version: Last Badge
I have not kept up with the new elements since the first game so I still have no idea what Steel is good for and what is Dark Pokemons weakness. This is a big flaw of mine since I rely a lot on elemental advance and having a more leveled Pokemon in battle. Someday I hope I get into the moves and special abilities Pokemons have to be able to win even in an unfair battle.

Arceus On The Loose
This Pokemon has been very exclusive and almost impossible to get. But now, till May 1st, you can get it for your Black/White Version. See more information on the actual Global Link Website http://en.pokemon-gl.com/
You need to go to Entree Forest(after you have tucked in a Pokemon) and you should find Arceus in the forest. You can capture it with any pokeball so you don't need to worry that it's a level 100 Pokemon. For some reason my forest was empty today but my husband was able to get Arceus so this does work, it's a global event!
The Perfect Pokemon and Pokemon Show
Hey I was just watching the first episode of Pokemon today! If anyone asks me, the first season is definitely the best one. Why do I say this? Because after that, the show just continues and renews the story over and over again. A lot of questions arise from the first season that never get answered. Just from watching the first episode, you wonder: "What kind of Pokemon did Gary get? Did Ash and Pikachu really see Ho-oh? Will Ash ever get Misty a new bike?".
I know now because of internet that Gary started with Squirtle. But a lot of other things keep us waiting for those meaningful episodes in later seasons. Though the show is just a big filler to complete the Pokemon experience, I'm probably too clingy to the old good stuff to see the potential of the new.
I had high hopes for Best Wishes and they had made big changes to make it seem more interesting. I felt like Pokemon somehow had got good again. I don't know if it is because of Iris or the writers just went back to how they had done things in the past but I just felt like the uniqueness of it disappeared in just a couple of episodes.
I have not seen all of the seasons so I can't say it's all bad in my point of view. I do hope that Pokemon would remember the older fans by making a more mature show. I think it has all the potential to entertain older fans if the writers etc. would just go the extra mile to make a show for young adults instead of kids starting their school.
My First Pokemon Team
When I started my first Pokemon journey on Blue Version, like every other player I had to make a 6 Pokemon team. From what I remember, my very first team had Squirtle, Pikachu, Rattata, Clefairy, Pidgey... and now I got a blackout :D well anyway something like that.
Later when I was fighting the Elite Four, I had: Jolteon, Kadabra, Dewgong, Wigglytuff, Haunter and Nidoking. Later I would complete my team with a Mewtwo.

The Legendary Mew Certificate of Authenticity
This is a story of how I got mine. I still have the certificate and will post a picture of it soon. The Mew I do not have anymore since I gave my Blue Version away(which I highly regret doing).
It was a cold winter in the year 2000. My friend(since she got the magazine that had articles about Pokemons) told me that there will be an event to get a Mew for real. I was overwhelmed. Her parents dropped us in the city and from there we would walk to the biggest movie theater to get our Mews. From what I know, in States you could get these Mews from toys stores but that was not the case in my country.
We found a line, a VERY long line. It took us forever to find the end of the line so we could start queuing. The line consisted mainly on 6 to 8 year old kids with their pissed off parents waiting in the cold blizzard for their turn. The kids we're getting inpatient and some were even crying. We stood in the line in hopes of having enough strength to stay in line till it was our turn. My friend was shaking in cold. There were these workers who would go around the line to make sure everyone was okay. One of them felt really bad for my friend being cold and handed us a paper that had a mail address where we would send our games to and get Mews. We were so happy we didn't have to wait anymore so we just took off.
I send my game to the place with a letter asking where could I send my movie script for Pokemon(since I was such a big fan). When I got my game back, it came with the certificate paper and in my game Mew was in my team.
There was many theories of how to get Mew in the game by cheating. I tried some to find them untrue. Way later my husband told me of a cheat that really does work in the old games. I might make a post about that later.
Here's my authentic Mew Certificate that I scanned. I blocked the numbers because I don't want someone going around with my certificate telling it's theirs or trying to sell it or whatever.

First Step
Hey everyone! This is my first post about my exciting adventure that I've been on for over 10 years. My first encounter with Pokemon was in the year 1997 when just before Christmas, I saw on a page of a kids toy magazine a picture of Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu saying: "You will get to know us soon!"I was thinking to myself "Really? What the heck is this thing anyway? I wonder if I'll ever even see these characters ever again." Little did I know that I would be obsessed by this new fad called Pokemon.
I was captivated by the TV show and lived my life based on when it aired. Soon there was talk about the games. I could become a trainer myself! My parents were very skeptical about getting a pocket game for a teenage girl. They kept telling me that video games are for boys. It didn't take long for two of my girl friends to get Pokemon Reds so I was able to get my way.
I got a Gameboy Color in Kiwi color and Pokemon Blue Version. The game was amazing. I could choose my own Pokemon, train them and do whatever I wanted on my own journey. What I still find to be one of the key obsessions is the possibility to interact with friends. Of course back then it was through a cord, but it was enough to get everyone in my friends house to get all the kids that were living nearby to sit on stairs of the hallway and battle nonstop. For a while, that was the biggest reason for kids to get together. It was truly magical. Bigger than anything before.
What Gameboy Color and Pokemon Version did you start off with?
